My Story
I have to be honest with you — I'm an introvert. Not the charming, quiet-in-the-corner kind. The kind where even getting on a Zoom call felt like too much.
For a long time, I avoided people at all costs. I'd rather be heads-down coding than face-to-face with another human being.
But here's the thing about being an introvert: you don't stop wanting connection. You just want it on your own terms — with the right people, around the things you actually care about.
That's where Flock came from.
The Epiphany: Why Most Creators Get It Backwards
Here's the pattern I see constantly — and it's the same mistake I watched sink businesses I used to acquire for pennies on the dollar.
Creators spend weeks building the "perfect funnel" — opt-in page, welcome sequence, lead magnet, tripwire, sales page, order bump, upsell, downsell. They launch. Spend thousands on ads. Maybe break even.
The funnel didn't fail them. The order did.
And beyond the money — think about the time. A funnel takes weeks to build, test, and patch. A community takes minutes to start. One conversation, one post, one question to the right group of people — that's your market research, your validation, and your first sale all in one.
Those companies I acquired had poured everything into packaging, logos, websites, agencies — and never once sat down with their first customer. Never learned how their audience actually talks, what they want, what problems they're really losing sleep over.
A sales page doesn't build an audience. It doesn't help you find your voice or your people. And the biggest mistake I see is creators building their offer based on what they think their customers want — not what they actually know.
A community changes that completely. It gives you direct access to the real language your audience uses, the real weight behind their problems, the emotional connection to what they're trying to solve. That's the deep research most people skip — and it's the exact research you can't fake with a funnel.
Now imagine a store owner who, instead of starting with Shopify or a sales page, starts with a community first — and then builds the product, the branding, the offer, shaped by the people already there. That's when everything clicks.
Someone with no audience and no sales yet needs to start with an easier asset — a community, a webinar, posting consistently to one channel. They need to feel the culture of their audience. Get ingrained. Get their first follower before their first sale. Even a hundred people can become the foundation for real, sustainable income.
A funnel is a great tool. But it's a tool for later — once you know what's working, once you've earned the trust. And the good news? Some of those funnel elements don't have to live separately at all. They can be built right into the community, so the process doesn't have to be disjointed.
People, voice, positioning, value — first. Then ask for money, and people will throw it at you.
At the end of the day, whoever truly understands their customer's epiphany — that moment when everything clicks for them — wins. Not the one with the biggest funnel or the flashiest sales page. The one who gets it at the deepest level.
Don't start with a funnel. Start with a small flock.
get flocked
(v.)— to intentionally find the community, people, and purpose that were always meant for you.
The Mission
Flock exists to help creators stop chasing funnels and start building flocks — communities rooted in real relationships, where your content, products, and brands grow from people who actually know, like, and trust you. Not an algorithm. Not a funnel. Your people, found intentionally, joyfully, and without the noise.
The Vision
I see community becoming its own channel — right up there with TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. I want Flock's icon sitting alongside those as a core part of how creators find and grow their audience — not just existing alongside those channels, but fueling them, so growing your flock here helps grow your presence everywhere else too.
A podcast, a blog, a newsletter — these should live inside your community, not scattered across five disconnected platforms costing you money and fragmenting your audience. Flock brings it all under one roof, so your content, your conversations, and your community reinforce each other instead of competing.
While the old model sells you a course that's outdated in six months, we believe the future belongs to connected creators — iterating in short sprints, in real community, faster than any guru program can keep up. We envision a creator economy built on relationships before revenue, where community is the starting point, not an afterthought, and creators can outwork bigger companies simply because they actually listen.
AI, automation, content, social media — it's all shifting weekly. What worked six months ago is already stale. Every $5K guru program and 10-hour course is getting lapped in real time — by the market, by the algorithm, by reality.
What actually works is simple: learn something → do it → get feedback → improve. The future isn't a course you finish in isolation. It's a flock that iterates with you, in real time.
Why I Was the One to Build It
As a developer, I've watched software companies make the same mistake for years. You pay a premium, and when you need a feature that actually matters — something innovative, something that would change how you work — you get told it's "on the roadmap." Maybe someday. Maybe never. That value exchange is broken. You're paying real money, and the company holds all the power.
I also know we're in an era where everything can be vibe coded — anyone can spin up their own tool in an afternoon. Sure, you could save $49 a year building it yourself. But that's not a flex. The bugs, the maintenance, the constant upkeep — that's a much higher opportunity cost than most people realize. Your time belongs in your community, your content, your people. Not babysitting a script you duct-taped together.
That's why I kept Flock's pricing reasonable — so I can keep building day after day, and give creators something that delivers far more value than what they're paying for.
Welcome to My Journey
I'm not here to sell you a course or hand you a funnel template. I'm here to build — in real time, alongside the people who are done doing it the hard way alone.
People feel alone right now, and they don't know who to trust. But the groups are out there — they're just scattered. HVAC technicians figuring out their trade. Entrepreneurs trying to maximize their Solo 401(k)s. Whatever your world is, there's a flock for it. You just haven't found each other yet.
I'd love for you to be part of what we're building here.
Not as a customer. As a flockmate.
Let's get flocked.
